CHANGE OF COMMANDERS. - Major General Godfrey Weitzel, commanding the 24^th Army Corps, and commander of the forces occupying Richmond, has been relieved of command, and assigned to Petersburg and vicinity. Major General E. O. C. Ord, commanding the Army of the James, assumes command of this Department. His headquarters were changed yesterday from the Capitol to the Jeff Davis mansion, late the headquarters of Maj. Gen. Weitzel. General Weitzel, during his short administration of the duties of this military post, won many friends, who would regret his retirement the more were they not entirely satisfied of Gen. Ord's great fitness and capacity for the post.
