NOTICE – Superintendent
J. D. BROWN, Artillery Work Shops; ROBERT WHITE, Ordnance Bureau, War
Department; Mr. ENNIS, at Laboratory, and Mr. FORD, at the Armory, have been
appointed a committee to receive and disburse contributions for the sufferers by
the recent explosion at the Laboratory, upon Brown’s Island.
The committee earnestly
solicit contributions. Old linen, clothing, sheets, &c., would meet necessities
which money could not reach.
The committee
respectfully asks the co-operation of any other committee or person engaged in
the same charitable work.
