Thinning Out. - Since the publication of the list of
soldiers confined in Castle Godwin for various offenses, notifying commanders to
call and take them away, the Castle has been considerably depleted of its
superabundant population. Some of the officers having men there for weeks and
months discovered the fact for the first time by the announcement in the papers.
