Remarkable Discovery. – The workmen engaged upon the fortifications near Blakey’s pond, made a curious discovery on Wednesday. While at work below the surface of the ground, they excavated a cannon, a cannon ball, and some other warlike articles. The wonder is, how these things got there. Perhaps some old citizen can inform us whether there was a fort or a camp in that locality in ancient times.
