From the Richmond Whig, 5/31/1864, p. 2, c. 5DROWNED. - Yesterday morning a small negro boy, between 8 and 9 years old, was drowned while bathing in Shockoe Creek, near Victor’s mill. The boy belonged to Dr. Hancock, of this city.
