MAYOR'S COURT. - ...William,
slave of Miss Sallie Tompkins, was sent on for burglary. On Thursday night about
eight o'clock, discovering that there was no one in Bonavita's confectionery, in
rear of St. Paul's Church, he stove in one of the window panes and stole a jar
of brandy peaches and some tobacco. As he was making off, he was discovered and
captured by the watchmen.
