From the Richmond Sentinel, 1/20/1864
Recaptured. - Most of the Yankee deserters, who decamped from the prison
opposite Castle Thunder, have since been recaptured and are again in
confinement. Some of them were discovered in the sink-holes which abound in the
lower part of the city; others upon the Williamsburg road. It has become a
matter of great difficulty for a suspicious character to pass the pickets posted
upon the various roads leading from Richmond.
