From the Richmond Sentinel, 11/24/1864

SMALL EXPLOSION. - About 11 o’clock yesterday, while some hands were unloading a wagon load of shells, at the testing ground above the Tredegar Works, one of the shell exploded, setting off the balance. Three negroes were killed instantly and four others badly wounded. Mr. Nicholas Ingleson, foreman of the hands, was mortally wounded, both legs being broken and his head crushed.
