CASTLE THUNDER ITEMS. - John
Bowers, of the firm of C. D. Yale & Co., Governor street, was on yesterday
arrested while attempting to escape to the enemy’s lines. Bowers was a member of
the second Virginia reserves. He was committed to the Castle.
John Wood, of Danville, was
sent to this city, yesterday, and committed on the charge of feeding and
harboring deserters.
John Eckhardt, of the second
reserve cavalry, was committed on the charge of stealing a horse.
