MAYOR’S COURT. - E. C. Rowe
and Mark Shoap, stewards on Belle Isle, were charged with embezzling Government
grease. The evidence showing that the accused only collected and sold the dirty
grease about the Yankee encampment on Belle Isle, which would otherwise have
been wasted were discharged.
