THE CONFEDERATE STATES LABORATORY BUILDINGS on Brown’s Island, destroyed by the explosion, have been replaced or others fitted up, and the work resumed with an ample force of female employees, all of whom average from twelve to fifteen dollars a week as the proceeds of their labor.
