TROPHIES IN THE CAPITOL. – The galleries of the State Capitol are now festooned with flags and adorned with other trophies of the battles fought in Virginia. Among them are some half a dozen flags captured in the recent victories before Richmond, on of which is an immense United States banner, thirty-six by twenty-four feet in dimensions, and made of the finest bunting. To form a correct idea of its large proportions, it would be proper to compare it to the Confederate flag now floating above the Capitol, which is twenty-two by fifteen feet, and which the captured “rouser” was intended to displace. These trophies will always be interesting as tokens of the valor of our troops.
