TOBACCO SEIZED. – Under the authority of the recent general
order for the collection of tobacco into a suitable rendezvous where it could be
burned in an emergency, the Provost Marshal’s forces, on yesterday, waited upon
certain parties opposed to the scheme and accumulated a large quantity of the
weed, which they carried away.
