From the Richmond Dispatch, 7/10/1862, p. 2, c. 7

ALL MEMBERS OF CAPT. PATTERSON’S COMPANY, recently stationed at No. 8 Battery, near this city, and lately turned over to my command, who are absent without the proper authority, will report to me immediately, at Redoubt No. 4, or they will be advertised and treated as deserters. Said men are mostly from Campbell county, Va., and their names and residences known.
