From the Richmond Dispatch, 5/29/1862, p. 2, c. 3

In Town. H. W. Perkins, 1st Lieut. Of the 55th N. Y. S. M., and four other Abolitionists, captured near Ashland, Va., have been lodged in the Confederate Prison in Richmond. Yesterday a Spaniard named Pedro Alvarez, Sergeant in Company I, 58th N. Y. regiment, was captured below this city, on the Chickahominy, and brought to this city. He had been eating dinner with a man, and on leaving asking to be pointed to the camp of the Yankees, was shown where a group of our boys were stationed. Alvarez had been out on picket.
