Chimborazo
Hospital
We have been requested to say to the ladies, who have done
much for this hospital, that they will render the most essential service to
those of its suffering inmates that are wounded, by supplying rags for bandages
of different kinds, poultices, &c. It will also conduce to a good end if worn
out cotton garments are sent to the stewards of the different hospitals to be
used in applying mustard plasters. Many of the depots of the sick are but
scantily supplied with such articles. We are sure that the ladies will do all in
their power to keep our soldiers from suffering.
