From the Richmond Dispatch, 12/18/1862, p. 1, c. 4

Arrival of Prisoners. The Central cars brought to this city yesterday evening 469 Abolition soldiers, a portion of those heretofore reported as being en route for this city via the Junction, who were consigned on their arrival to the Libby prison. During yesterday twenty- five wounded Yankees were brought down by the Fredericksburg cars, and were sent to the same place. A number of our wounded men also came down on the Fredericksburg cars yesterday, and more were expected before one o'clock last night, at which time ambulances were awaiting their arrival. Seven or eight hundred Yankees on foot may be expected in the city to day.
